Sports for Peace: Celebrating the International Day of Peace in Kayanza

On September 21, 2024, the Charles Nkazamyampi Foundation organized a sports event in partnership with Kayanza Province to mark the International Day of Peace at Gatwaro Stadium. The day they featured a bike race, athletics competitions with over 200 students, and a football match, with the Governor of Kayanza, Ncishahayo Remy, in attendance. Over 1,000 participants signed peace commitment cards to uphold peace and social cohesion. Governor Remy and other officials praised the Foundation's efforts to engage Burundian youth in peacebuilding. The event concluded with prizes for winners and expressions of gratitude to all supporters.
