On May 21st in Bujumbura, Nyabiraba commune, the Charles Nkazamyampi Foundation organized a community event that brought together the local youth around the values ​​of peace.
In this post-election context marked by an intensification of meetings, its objective was to raise awareness among young people about the importance of peace as a foundation for sustainable development. This initiative aimed to encourage young people to take an active role in peacebuilding within their communities.
On this occasion, young people participated in soccer games and a girls' relay race. After the sports activities, 500 young people pledged to become peace ambassadors by signing peace commitment cards.
Local authorities welcomed the initiative and expressed their deep gratitude to the Foundation for its remarkable work, highlighting its ongoing commitment to peace, social cohesion, youth, and community development.
