On August 3, 2025, the Charles Nkazamyampi Foundation, in collaboration with Together for Development, organized a major community event in the commune of Rumonge, Kizuka hill. This event brought together many young people, who were deeply inspired by the presence of Charles Nkazamyampi. They were thrilled to meet him in person, having previously known him only through school textbooks.

During the event, Charles Nkazamyampi shared the Olympic values – respect, excellence, and friendship – linking them to the importance of peace, social cohesion, and living together in harmony. Through his approach based on awareness, inspiration, and action, he encouraged the youth to sign Peace Commitment Cards, inviting them to become peacebuilders and positive leaders within their communities. 500 young people and community members demonstrated their strong willingness to commit to building a united, peaceful, and supportive Burundi.

This event highlighted the power of partnership: when different actors join forces, sustainable development becomes a tangible reality. Together, the Charles Nkazamyampi Foundation and Together for Development laid another cornerstone in the construction of a better future – one built on youth, unity, and hope.
